Hi,I'm Jake L.. I am a third grader. I want to talk about a good book series.It is called Cirque Du Freak(french for Circus of freaks).It is about a kid named Darren Shan.his friend Steve Leoprard(his real last name is Leonard,they call it Leoprard because he is wild)got tickets for a freak show called Cirque Du Freak.Darren came,too.Steve was stuned when it was Mr.Crepslys turn to preform.Mr.Crepsly had a long scar going down his face.He had a big spider named Madam Octa.After the show,Steve told Darren to go. Steve would stay.Darren did not want to,so he maked sure steve was not looking and stayed.He found out Mr.Crepsly was a vampire because Steve asked him to turn him into one!Mr.Crepsly tasted steves blood.He said Steve was evil.Darren liked Mr. Crepslys spider ,so he steals it.Steve came over to see Darren.He ended up being bitten by Madam Octa!Then one night,Madam Octa fell out the window and Mr.Crepsly caught her.Darren went back to the Cirque and saw Mr.Crepsly.Darren begged for the antidote.MrCrepsly said that if he gives him the antidote for Steve,Darren would have to turn ino a half-vampire and be his assistant.Darrn says yes.This is how darren got turned into a vampire.Mr.Crepsly cut open his and Darrens fingertips.They put their wounds together.Mr.Crepsly pumped vampire blood into darren.Now he was a half-vampire.Then they went to cure Steve...

The authers name is Darren Shan.There are 12 books total.I am on book 10.
